Viv Richards whose full name is Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards is a retired cricketer from West Indies. He is known as one of the best batsman of all time. Viv Richards usually bats at number three from West Indies cricket team. He was born to Gretel Richards and Malcolm in Antigua. He started playing cricket at a very young age with his brothers Donald and Mervyn. During his career he suffered from Pterygium which got him an eye surgery. His eyesight got affected and despite this he remained the best batsman for four consecutive years.

Viv Richards left his education when he was just eighteen and started working in a bar and restaurant at St. John’s. The owner there saw his potential and helped him with new pad, gloves and bat. Most of his seasons were spent in St. John’s Cricket Club after which he joined Rising Sun Cricket Club. Viv Richards and his wife have two children Matara Richards and Mali Richards. He also had a relationship with Indian actress Neena Gupta with whom he has a daughter named Masaba Gupta who is a famous fashion designer in India.
