According to research, 31% – 50% of the day of an average employee is spent wasting time. The productivity timings are usually only 50%, which is also true during the morning. That is the very reason that productivity has become a big challenge for organizations across the globe. In order to increase productivity, many companies use tracking tools, including a number of meetings or implementing other techniques that cause more stress rather than increase productivity. If you are a company that is dealing with low motivation levels in the workforce, then the following strategies, such as recognizing achievements with an award plaque, should help you streamline things in a better manner:

  1. Build an Effective To-Do List

The to-do list should not list all tasks in one place. Rather than overwhelming yourself, you can prioritize the tasks that need to be done according to urgency or importance. You can put one major thing in your task list: 3 medium-level and 5 easy tasks. When you categorize the tasks, the capability of reducing the pressure and the stress would increase considerably. This can also help make a higher amount of progress on a day-to-day basis.

  1. Remove Distractions

Wherever you work from, there will always be distractions in your life. While some distractions are posed by the environment, others are imposed by oneself. For example, during office working hours, employees can turn off their notifications so that distractions from varied social media platforms and other sources do not impact the work output. From the environmental distractions perspective, it is very difficult to control these but they can be managed over time.

  1. Do One Thing at a Time

A person might think that multitasking is fun. But it can also cause stress. So, the most recommended strategy is to focus on one task at a time and complete it before moving on to the next. Switching between tasks can be stressful and lead to a loss of concentration and motivation. So, stick to one thing at a time and ensure it is completed. This will motivate you when you tick off a task from your list.

  1. Healthy Habits

Having healthy eating habits and taking care of your physical health is extremely critical for the achievement of the right results. If you are overweight, it can definitely cause problems in productivity levels. Healthy habits can improve physical health, mood, energy levels, and the amount of focus that you have. Make sure that you stretch from time to time during the working hours.

  1. Take a Break

Increasing productivity does not mean that you keep working for 9 complete hours of the working day. Taking breaks for water, food, or a short snack can refresh you and help you get back to your work with more enthusiasm. Small breaks can alleviate your mood and improve your ability to finish your work on time. Especially if you are feeling stuck with a particular task, taking a break would definitely help in getting things in perspective.
